How to clean the Excel and Eclipse Urosensor
The same cleaning guidance applies to both the DRI Sleeper Excel and DRI Sleeper Eclipse Urosensors.
Safe cleaning options
You can wipe or soak the sensor in isopropyl alcohol (methylated spirits) or hydrogen peroxide to disinfect it. Alternatively, wash the sensor in warm soapy water.
Important: avoid chlorine cleaners
Do not use any cleaner containing chlorine, including chlorhexidine or chlorine-containing Dettol-type products. Chlorine can irreparably damage the conductive plastic of the sensor and render it inoperative.
Dry thoroughly before reuse
After cleaning, dry the Urosensor thoroughly before using it again. Moisture left around the sensing strips can interfere with correct operation.
