How to prevent false alarms

A dry, correctly positioned sensor is the best starting point.

Make sure the sensor is completely dry

After an alarm has triggered, clean and thoroughly dry the sensor, especially between the sensing strips. Residual moisture can keep the sensor active and cause another alert.

Check positioning

Place the sensor securely where urine will reach it first without allowing it to rub against damp fabric. Snug underwear, a prepared liner or an opening in a pull-up can help keep it in position.

Check the surrounding environment

For the wireless Eclipse, nearby transmitting devices or large metal objects can sometimes affect communication. If problems persist, test the alarm with other devices switched off and move the alarm base to another position.

Test before bedtime

A quick sensor test each evening confirms that the alarm is reset, paired and ready before the child goes to sleep.
